Irish Heritage Day

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day early at the Museum on Saturday, March 15 with live entertainment, educational presentations, a limerick writing contest, food tastings, and more.

Special guest performances by the Barnyard Banshees, Eau Claire Irish Dance, Janelle Glenna & Students, Tom & Judy Olson, and Sacred Heart/St. Patrick's Choir will be featured, as well as hands-on harp lessons with Serena O'Meara. Author Judy Gannon Gilles and Travis Melville will be on hand to share information about the history of the Melville Settlement, an early immigrant community established by local Irish families. A highland and Irish bagpipe will be on display, and Joe Luginbill will be judging this year's Limerick Writing Contest with all new prizes!

Themed treats will be available for purchase in the museum's ice cream parlor, including mint sundaes. Crafts, storytelling, and hands-on activities for families and children will also be scheduled throughout the day. 

Price of admission: $5 adults/$2 for children/members free. Hours: 11am - 4pm.
