Rug Hooking Classes
Posted: January 26, 2016
Join McGown Certified instructor Dorothy Huse for a brand new series featuring this popular folk art medium. Five 90-minute sessions will be offered on consecutive Tuesday evenings, from March 1 to 29 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Over the course of the series, participants will learn to rug hook by making a decorative mirror holder suitable for framing.
Advanced registration is required, as space is limited to 15 people. Students are asked to bring their own hook, frame, and scissors, if they have them. Otherwise, these items will be provided by the instructor.
Cost for CVM members is $50, or $55 for non-members. Please contact Karen Jacobson at k.jacobson@cvmuseum.com or 715-834-7871 for details or to register.
The Chippewa Valley Museum is located at 1204 E. Half Moon Drive in Eau Claire's scenic Carson Park.
This project is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
