Posted: July 13, 2017

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The public is invited to experience a unique collection of antique fire engines and equipment at an Antique Fire Truck Show from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23 on the front lawn of the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire's scenic Carson Park.

This one-day-only exhibit will include the museum's own 1931 Seagrave Pumper Truck, a 1960's High Top ambulance, late 1800's hose carts, and at least six additional fire trucks dating from the early 1940's through early 1970's. Owners of the vehicles will be available to answer questions and engage in discussion throughout the afternoon.

Visitors will be welcome to come inside to explore all of the Chippewa Valley Museum's exhibits, find refreshments at the museum's vintage 1950s ice cream parlor, and view additional personal collections of firefighting equipment and vintage fire truck toys provided by the show's sponsor: the Chippewa Valley Chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America.

Admission to the show is included with regular museum admission, which is $7 for adults, $4 for kids ages 5-17, and free for museum members.
