Learn new creative skills and make unique projects with local artist instructors at the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire's scenic Carson Park this spring! Ukrainian Psyanky

Adults: Tuesdays, March 13th & 20th, 6-8 pm OR Saturday, March 17th, 10 am - 2:30 pm.
Kids (gr. 4-8): Thursday, March 22nd, 6-7:30 pm.

Learn to make pysanky, eggs decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method, with Amanda Luebeck. All materials provided. Additional take-home kits available for purchase for $15 each. Advance registration is required as space is limited to 8 people. Adults: $30 members/$40 non; Kids: $15/$25.

Rosemaling

Saturday, March 24 & Saturday, March 31, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Try your hand at this traditional Norwegian folk art with teacher Edith Kling and her skillful assistants. Learn the proper brush strokes and techniques for painting a small woodenware plate in the Rogaland style. All supplies and materials provided. Open to ages 13 and older. Advance registration is required as space is limited to 12 people. $30 for CVM members, $40 for non-members.

Rug Hooking

Tuesdays: April 3, 20, 24 & May 1, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Create a mixed media flower pot motif project with McGown Certified instructor Dorothy Huse. Learn many creative techniques including hooking, basket weave, chain stitch, coiling standing wool, fringed sheared, pleated and bundled shearing, and beading. Advance registration is required as space is limited to 15 people. $75 for CVM members, $80 for non-members.

Hmong Fiber Arts

Saturday, April 21, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Create a Hmong needlework piece with traditional textile artist Mai Xee Xiong. All materials and egg roll snack provided.
