Houa Vue Moua’s family was among the first to arrive in Eau Claire in 1976 and has been interviewed a few times. In 1997 she was interviewed specifically about her early experiences resettlign in Eau Claire. In 2011 she discusses changes in Hmong American life in Eau Claire since then, including language retention, traditional foods, New Year celebrations, and religious practices.
