Holiday Toy Trains is an annual holiday exhibit in its fifth year at the Chippewa Valley Museum. It includes a 384 Sq. ft. layout complete with local buildings, winter scenes, lights and sounds. Lighted night trains run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm, and trains run 1pm to 5pm on Saturdays between Nov. 29th and Dec. 28th. There's also crafts to make, pictures to color, and floor trains to play with. We've even heard that Santa Claus is planning to stop by regularly (call the museum to confirm when Santa will be there, as his schedule is quite busy this time of year).
"The favorite part for me is watching the expressions on the kids' faces when they come in to see these things. They're big, and there's no plastic - it's all metal. The engines have whistles and bells, and they smoke", says exhibit organizer, and member of the Standard Gauge Module Association, Chuck Lindvig.
